The Hardy Plant Society is an organization whose focus is on plants which are hardy in the Great Lakes region. By sharing experience and information from a variety of sources we gain knowledge about the environment and share that information with the public at monthly meetings, workshops, and informal presentations.

Garden Sample 1

Qualified speakers address the meetings about a variety of subjects including native plants, perennials, shrubs, trees, herbs, irrigation, wildlife, pest control, culture, etc. Classes are held in landscape design, maintenance of gardens, handling problems such as rain water run-off, and other subjects of interest.

Special visits are planned to gardens in the area. The Hardy Plant Society supports many groups financially and with information, such as gardens that supply soup kitchens, educational gardens, and special projects. Our membership includes Master Gardeners, experienced gardeners, and many others. Guests are always welcome at the meetings.
